01

1. Scope and independent status

This Privacy Policy applies to Betterxcloud.wiki, including its homepage, download guides, setup guides, troubleshooting pages and legal pages. Betterxcloud.wiki is an independent informational website and is not operated by Microsoft, Xbox or the Better xCloud project developers.

External websites linked from this site, including GitHub, the official Better xCloud documentation and Xbox services, have their own privacy policies. Review those policies before providing information to an external service.

02

2. Information we may receive

The site does not ask for your Microsoft password, recovery code or Xbox account credentials. Do not send those details by email or include them in a support request.

  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device category, approximate region, referring page and request timestamps.
  • Usage information such as pages viewed, approximate session activity, navigation events, download-button interactions and error pages.
  • Information you voluntarily send to support, such as your email address, page URL, platform, browser or app version and the details of a correction request.
  • Information processed by external sites when you choose to follow an official GitHub, documentation, Xbox, App Store or other source link.
03

3. Google products, advertising and analytics

If Google products are used on the site, Google may collect and use information such as cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, browser information and interaction data to provide, measure or personalize those products according to Google's policies and your available controls.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons and IP addresses because advertisements are served on the site. These technologies may help deliver, measure, limit or personalize advertising and report aggregated performance.

For more information about how Google uses data from partner sites and applications, read Google's partner-sites data-use page. You can also review Google's advertising settings and your browser's cookie controls.

04

4. Cookies and web beacons

The site may use necessary cookies, local browser storage or similar technologies for security, preferences, analytics, performance measurement and advertising. Web beacons or small tracking pixels may be included by analytics or advertising providers. The site does not control the cookies or technologies placed by an external provider on its own domain.

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect analytics, advertising controls or some site behavior, but the informational pages should remain readable.

05

5. How information is used

  • Operate, secure and maintain Betterxcloud.wiki.
  • Understand which download, installation and troubleshooting pages are useful.
  • Measure page performance, accessibility and broken-link behavior.
  • Respond to support messages and correction requests.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, automated attacks and harmful traffic.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the site's rights.
06

6. Sharing and external services

We may share limited information with hosting, security, analytics, email, advertising or legal service providers when needed to operate the site or comply with law. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

When you click an external download or source link, the destination may receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser details, referral URL and the file or page you requested. We do not control the external provider's processing after you leave Betterxcloud.wiki.

07

7. Retention and security

Technical logs, analytics records and support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, measurement, support and legal compliance. Retention periods can vary by provider and data type.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no website or email system can promise perfect security. Use official source links carefully, keep your device updated and avoid sending sensitive account information to support.

08

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. Contact support@betterxcloud.wiki with enough detail for us to understand the request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You can also manage cookies through your browser, review advertising controls provided by Google or other vendors and choose not to follow external links.

09

9. Children and age-sensitive information

Betterxcloud.wiki is a general-audience technical guide. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information through support, contact us so we can review the request.

10

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when the site, analytics, advertising, hosting or support process changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.

Better xCloud privacy policy: how this site applies it

This Better xCloud privacy policy is written for an English informational site with public download, installation, settings and troubleshooting pages. The site does not ask visitors to create a Betterxcloud.wiki account, upload a file or provide Microsoft credentials. A visitor can read the guides without sending a password, recovery code or Xbox account token to this site.

Some interactions still create ordinary technical records. A browser request can include an IP address, user agent, referrer and timestamp. A download button can record a page interaction or send the browser to an external release asset after the in-page countdown. Those events are described at a general level because the final logs and retention periods depend on the hosting, analytics, email and advertising providers actually enabled.

12

External sources, downloads and browser controls

Betterxcloud.wiki links to GitHub, the upstream Better xCloud documentation, Xbox services and other official or platform sources. Once you leave this domain, the external provider controls its own cookies, logs, account processing, security practices and terms. Review the destination policy before signing in or downloading a package, especially when a source asks for permissions that are not described by the relevant platform guide.

You can manage cookies, local storage, browser permissions and interest-based advertising controls through your browser or the controls offered by the relevant provider. Blocking a cookie may affect measurement or advertising preferences, but it should not be required to read the core guides. Contact support if a privacy request concerns information submitted directly to Betterxcloud.wiki; requests about an Xbox, GitHub or app-store account must be directed to that provider.

  • Use the official source link rather than an unknown download mirror.
  • Do not send passwords, recovery codes or account tokens in support email.
  • Review external provider policies before signing in or granting permissions.
  • Use browser controls to manage cookies and local storage.
  • Include the page URL and request details when contacting privacy support.

Policy changes, requests and jurisdiction

This Better xCloud privacy policy may change if the site adds accounts, comments, uploads, analytics, advertising products, payment features or new support workflows. Material changes should be reflected by a new effective date and a revised explanation of the information collected, shared and used. A historical copy may not describe a feature that no longer exists, so use the current page when making a request.

Privacy rights and response timelines vary by location and by the provider that controls the data. The site may need enough information to locate a request and may need to verify identity before disclosing or changing personal information. Nothing on this page removes rights that cannot legally be waived in the visitor's jurisdiction.

Source note: This policy is written for the current informational site and should be reviewed if new accounts, uploads, comments, payments, ad products or analytics providers are added.
